MY FAV 5

|
ANDREA THEN....

Andrea 24, (aka Ana) is our oldest she is married with two girls and  married Colin Mahoney, who loves his three little women. Ana gets the privilege of staying home and being a wonderful mother and wife. Her siblings observe all this with get great joy in watching her and they think she is the coolest mother and wife out there.

I Never imagined how wonderful it is to see your child take to mothering so well. Ana did give me a scare at first when she was expecting her first. She told me that it made her sick when the baby moved in her stomach. Not quite the reaction I was looking for. She took to the mom thing perfectly once her daughter arrived.

Colin is preparing to go to PA school and is finishing up his requirements so he can get started. They are raising a family with strong principles of the gospel and have a blessed home. Here is the little family.

   BRITTANY THEN.....

Brittany 22, Is living in St. George Utah close to where Ana is, she is very talented in anything she puts her hand on. She has had many successes and has decided to go back to school and find the talent that will define her best. From a mother’s point of view, I think it will be in the area of writing. Brittany has always been talented in this area. I keep telling her as I tell all my kids how they are going hit it big and take care of Brad & me. I remember when she was in the 5th grade on Maui, Brittany had a hippy granola teacher that wanted the class  to go out and lay in the grass and write about the grass..…Instead of her writing what the teacher asked her to write she wrote a paper on how she felt about writing a useless paper when there are so many other areas of interest. Yes we did get called in to a teacher conference and was shown this paper. I must say Brittany gave a compelling argument for a 5th grader. Of course Brittany’s defense was the freedom of speech and expression. How can a hippy argue with that? Best Seller Here we come!

BROOKE THEN.....

Brooke 21, Brooke's first year in Provo, she attended Phoenix College on a soccer scholarship her freshman and sophomore years. Needless to say, she is having an adjustment to the weather. She has had to add things to her life such as, window scrapers and a coat. Brooke has always loved science, when she was little she always carried a book about planets and space with her. All of us are born with different concepts that we adapt to more so than others. Science has always been something Brooke comprehends and excites her. Sometimes I get calls from her about something she learned new in class and she starts to explain it to me using science words that I would need to Google to even begin to understand. I am thrilled for the fact that she gets it and is patent enough to break things down to a level and explain them so I can understand. She is working hard at school and life and I am sure will have many successes from her diligence and perseverance.

ERIC THEN.........

.

Eric 19, Eric is presently in Ohio, serving a mission. He loves it and loves the people. He is so excited about the gospel and loves to share it.

Eric still loves art and some of the envelopes, and letters show that he is not putting that talent to waste.  He will send home some drawings to keep his brothers spirits up and give him ideas for comic books.

He has no problem knocking on doors and sharing the gospel, in fact the soft spoken, somewhat shy boy has no problem sharing the message of the Lords with all. When he first got out there he made a goal to always smile no matter what door was closed. He has stuck to that goal and blessing of love have poured his way.

RYAN THEN......

Ryan aka Toad 17, For those of you who need to be caught up to date. Yes he has been called toad since he was 3 years old, by teachers, friends and loved ones. If I do call him by his, what he calls his slave name, he tells me he knows he is in trouble. As our youngest he keeps us alive with laughter. His best friend is his brother and he does miss him. He is a pleasure to be with and all of his siblings love it when he is a round.  He can wear many hats to keep them all happy, he is the clown, the buddy, the shoulder to cry on and the snuggler. He meets all the needs for his brothers and sisters.  It is funny they will all claim that toad is their favorite, those are some big shoes to fill, but he seems to do it. Toad is very talented in filming and media productions.

Successful Rookie Season

I posted my first blog after creating it, I am glad to announce that I did receive a phone call from “Queen Blogger” (Andrea aka Ana). Due to the amazing blog page I had produced, she will be redesigning her blog over. Wow made my day!! I was told, "My mom can not have a blog better than mine."  Silly her she forgot, who birthed her and gave her those competitive instinct. Oh yes and talents!

ROOKIE BLOGGER

Wow, apparently having to keep up with the Jones means, you better get out of the dark ages and BLOG. The Jones would be my oldest daughter Andrea, that is a picture of her with her newest addition, "Maya". Andrea is miss blog queen, keeping us all up to date on the current events of my granddaughters, Layla and Maya. I do believe she does do what you might call blog stocking also. I see all these old friends coming out of the wood work on her blog. I believe this is from diligent stocking.
My first attemp at blogging, was followed up with a phone call that I needed some serious help with my blog. I put it on the back burner and now I am making a for diligent effort. So we are going to call this my rookie season.
